Ingredients

  • 200 g beans
  • 200 g frozen peas
  • 50 g of black olives (approximately 2 tablespoons)
  • 80 g of Serrano ham
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation

  1. Bring a pot of water and salt to a boil.
  2. Cut the tips of the beans and then in half. If they are very long, cut them into three parts.
  3. Put the beans and peas in the boiling water.
  4. Cook for about 6 minutes or until soft, but not excessively.
  5. While the beans and peas are cooking, thinly slice the black olives and cut the ham into strips.
  6. Once the beans and peas are done, drain them and set aside.
  7. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet.
  8. Add the ham and fry it for a minute.
  9. Add the beans, peas, olives and tomato puree.
  10. Stir until all the ingredients are completely mixed.
  11. Season with salt and pepper.
  12. Serve hot.

This recipe can also be very useful if you serve it as a salad. In this case, you will only have to let the beans and peas garnish cool and replace the tomato puree with a rich vinaigrette.
